Chapter Ten

Another two days and she was released to her pack for collection. This part involved her travelling to them for confirmation of her nest being suitable and the home being appropriate as none of the others were done yet.

Dell was beside her and carried her luggage gracefully, leaving Philip to glower and kiss Andrea goodbye at the airport. He had to work out his contractual one-month notice.

Andrea cried as she was put on a plane with officers and her placement supervisor from the centre. Dell put an arm around her, and Andrea climbed into her lap, cuddling and sniffling. It wasn’t the first time.

“You know, Andrea, having a beta like Dell around might not be the best for bonding with your alphas.”

Andrea blinked. “I don’t care. She’s nice, and she smells good.”

“Did she tell you she ran from her alpha?” The woman was prim.

Dell smiled. “I have no alpha because I was never marked, and I ran from him because he kicked me out without money, clothes, or anything while I was miscarrying.”

The placement officer looked at the companion who spoke and scowled. “It is on record, but you are powerful for a beta, and Andrea is a new omega.”

“I am going to stay the fuck out of her way and just organize the schedule of public appearances between five alphas and extra security protocols due to the senator.”

Andrea smiled and buried her face against Dell’s neck, and she inhaled softly. “I never noticed. You smell like primroses and lemon zest.”

She nodded and looked at the placement officer. “You guys have all my bloodwork. Can I get stronger suppressors?”

“I will put in a request. You are on standard beta dosage?”

“I am. If she can smell me, it isn’t working.”

The officer said, “Birth control?”

Dell moved her elbow. “Implant. I still have six months on it, though.”

“Good. Wouldn’t want an accident.”

Andrea snuggled close and kept inhaling Dell’s scent. It was so pretty.

After landing, they travelled by car, and Andrea climbed right back into Dell’s lap. “This is the one time I am enjoying being tiny. If I was bigger and you were smaller, this wouldn’t work.”

Dell notified the others that they were on their way. She saw a helicopter as they drove away from the airport, and it was very familiar. She looked at the folk from the Omega Centre, and they looked smug or possibly gassy. It was hard to tell.

They arrived at the building, and the officers had to go first to verify it was suitable. When they came back and nodded, Andrea bolted out of the car, and Dell got out separately, taking her own bag and the omega’s to the house.

Dell smiled and shook the hands of Amble, Harbor, Robert, and, last, Antonio. It was when she held the hand of the giant that Andrea breezily announced, “You can sleep with any of my alphas if you want to and they want to, Dell. I am good with it. As long as you let me cuddle with you.
